Slip Tape is a new product that drastically enhances your skateboarding
performance, especially on slides. It is a griptape-like layer that is about
25 thousandths of an inch thick (.025"), and very much resembles Ptex -
which most people know as the plastic that snowboard and ski bases are
made out of. It's pretty much a clear plastic, but with a slightly milky haze
to it. You put it on as you would put on everyday griptape, except, onto
the bottom of the board, instead of the top. But beware - this stuff really
sticks! You should have a certain experience in putting on grip tape, and
make sure to put it on neatly and without air bubbles at first try, because
you won't be able to remove it from your deck without some of the

Slip Tape makes your board a bit slicker than bare wood - but not
death-defyingly slippery - making slides easier, smoother, and faster.
