Angst Skateboards is Germany's freshest new brand.
Located on the south side of Berlin, in the heart of the quirky
Kreuzberg district, Angst is turning heads with edgy designs and quality materiel.
"Angst" (ie, 'fear') "to thrive on..." is their motto.
With an eye for style and quality, these decks look as good as they are: 7-ply,
100% Canadian maple; nice shape, medium concave with a steep nose and tail; lots of pop.
This design, named after their home stomping-ground in the "X-berg" (Kreuzberg) district, is a tribute to reunified Berlin, an abstract cityscape silhouetted in the colours of the German flag.
The
Core Trucks (Generation II) are lightweight and allow plenty of clearance for grinds.

Nice, classic shape, but also very robust.
The leading edge allows for fat grinds without
exposing the kingpin...
Bushings (imported from the US) are smooth
and responsive, provide awesome turning,
and great memory.
The Amphetamine ABEC 5 bearings
are super-smooth and speed-oiled.
Fast enough for pipe and street skating,
but not too sensitive on landings. Really tough.
