Skateshop24 offers you the chance to print a skateboard with your very own picture, photo, or design. This brand-new, professional, digital-quality
technology was developed exclusively by Skateshop24. Ideal for gifts, for your own skate- crew, or just for yourself— now you can make a statement with your skateboard.
Here’s how it works:
You need a picture in a “landscape” format, as high of a resolution as possible.
You’ll find more infos on that further below, including technical instructions, templates, and what’s needed to get a nice result
Once you’ve got a suitable picture, you can buy this item. That means you’ve placed a binding order for your individual printed skateboard. Choose the size of your skateboard in the dropdown menu on the right.
AFTER the order process is finished, you’ll see a link to MyBoardPrint picture upload.
Here you can upload your picture and determine how to position it on the skateboard.
If you can’t figure out our online editor, you can also send us your design via e-mail or dropbox.
As soon as your order is complete and payment confirmed, we’ll print your skateboard and ship out your skateboard. Please allow ca. 10 business days for each order.
Also please note that there are NO RETURNS for individualized products such as MyBoardPrint.
For MyBoardPrint we only use skateboards of the very finest quality. Cold pressed from seven ply Canadian maplewood, manufactured by hand in one of the most renowned woodsheds in Canada; these boards don’t just look good, they’re built to last and have lots of pop.
What you need to get a nice result:
Remember that a skateboard is about 80 cm (32 inches) long, and thus much larger than a 10x15cm (4x6 in) photo. Of course we can print an image from the web that 800 pixels wide. But we’ll have to upscale / blow up the image several times over, which drastically reduces the quality of the image and looks “pixely”.
The final result on a MyBoardPrint is only as good as image you provide.
If you want a good looking result, use a picture with the highest possible resolution.
The quality of the raw material is, as we’ve said, is decisive for the end result. High resolution pictures from digital cameras with more than 10 megapixels are no problem for skateboard prints. Even images from current smartphones with 4 megapixels are more will bring an acceptable result.
For you pro’s out there, using graphics programs like Photoshop, Gimp, Illustrator or the like, we’re got templates that you can use.
The optimal size of your design should be 9x33 inches (23x84 cm) with 300 DPI resolution. DO NOT submit designs that have the exact shape and size of the skateboard. The design must be at least 2 cm larger than the skateboard deck on all sides for us to be able to print it. Bottom line: Send us a rectangular design, 9x33 inches in size, 300 DPI!
