Riserpads are needed to mount the rollers a little further from the deck and thus prevent wheelbites. In the wheelbite, the roller can be abruptly stopped by the board, which then usually results in a spontaneous throw of the driver in the direction of travel. To prevent this, riser pads are available in various shapes and thicknesses.
