Skateboard decks in the sale

Reduced decks from brands that rarely go on offer – Flip, Deathwish, Plan B, Krooked, Toy-Machine or Sk8Mafia turn up here again and again, depending on what is left. Plus blank decks as the cheapest way in if the graphic does not matter to you anyway.

Which deck width suits you?

The width in inches is the only spec you really need to watch. The rest – seven plies of maple, concave, kicks on nose and tail – is largely standard on pro decks.

• 7.75" to 8.0": more nimble and easier to flip. The usual choice for flatground, technical tricks and smaller shoe sizes.
• 8.0" to 8.25": the all-rounder most people get on with. Street, park and everything in between.
• 8.25" and wider: more foot space and more calm at speed. Typical for transition, bowl and from around EU shoe size 44 upwards.

What to order alongside a new deck

Griptape and a fresh set of mounting hardware belong with it; trucks and wheels can usually carry over. Only if you go noticeably wider or narrower does your old truck width stop matching – that is when it is worth a look at reduced trucks.
