George Powell (engineer, designer) and Stacy Peralta (Z-Boys veteran) founded Powell-Peralta in 1978 — with the goal of building quality decks and hardware using innovative material tech. The Bones Brigade, managed by Peralta, defined 80s skating: Tony Hawk's vert, Rodney Mullen's flatground innovation, Steve Caballero's pool skating.
