Black Label
The

history and development of the

Black Label Skateboards

brand

was founded in 1990 by professional skater John Lucero. Since then, the company has been producing trendy products for the skateboard scene. The American company has focused on the production of decks, wheels, clothing and accessories. The brand from California has its headquarters in Huntington Beach. Founder John Lucero was himself a professional skater in the 1980s. He proved his skills at labels like Schmitt Stix, Madrid and Variflex. The owner Lucero launched his first company in 1988 under the name Lucero Ltd. The company used Santa Cruz brand boards. Later, the two went their separate ways, and from then on the business operated under its name, which is still valid today. When choosing the brand name, John Lucero was influenced by the Canadian beer brewery Carlings Black Label. Within the business, independent departments such as Emergency and Label Legends have emerged. Under the title Emergency, skateboards are produced based on older models. Since 2012, the entire brand has been distributed by Blitz Distribution. Translated into German, the motto of the label means "Never bought, never sold". The straightforward company has remained true to its philosophy to this day. The
