Flip Skateboards

The Flip Skateboards brand

The Flip Skateboards brand was created in the early 90s from a merger of the companies Death Box Skateboards and Bash Skateboards. A short time later, the British company moved to the US state of California. Since 1994, the manufacturer has been based in Huntington Beach. The skateboard brand is managed by Ian Deacon, Jeremy Fox and Geoff Rowley (until 2016). The hip label deals in boards, clothing and equipment for the skater scene.

Flip Skateboards as a business

The business was launched by Ian Deacon, Jeremy Fox and the professional Geoff Rowley. Shortly after, skaters Rune Glifberg and Tom Penny joined the crew. Three years later, the company headquarters were relocated to the United States. The company's new home is in Huntington Beach, California. Rune Glifberg and Tom Penny also emigrated to the USA. The label now has closer contact with the local skater scene. As a result, contact was made with US professionals such as Bob Burnquist and Ali Boulala. The factory owner has dedicated himself to the martial slogan Hate, Kill, Destroy. The motto also serves as inspiration for the graphic design of their boards. The grim illustrations and typefaces present iron crosses and skulls. In addition, all flip skaters receive their own pro deck. They are individually designed for each rider.
