Black Magic produces high-quality grip tapes. The parent company Shortys Inc. comes from Santa Barbara, USA. The Californian company has been supplying skaters with accessories since the 90s. All parts of their products are of high quality. Other company subsidiaries belong to Shortys, such as Black Panthers, Dooks and DOH-DOH. First-class components such as screws, steering rubbers, riser pads, ball bearings and grip tapes are produced in the branches.

The Griptapes of the brand

The Black Magic brand is a producer of grip tapes for skateboards. Since 1992, the subsidiary belongs to the Shortys company. The manufactured products guarantee high quality and are suitable for all skateboards. The experienced label manufactures top equipment and is considered the market leader in its segment. The grip tape for skateboards is glued on one side and finely grained on the other. As a result, the grippy tapes provide optimum traction. The skater does not slip and is held on his skateboard. The rough layers provide ideal support for the boarder. He gets full control over his board. It is especially suitable for tricky rides. The parent company Shortys Inc.

The US skateboard brand Shortys has its headquarters in California. In 1992, the two founders Tony Buyalos and April Hamrick started their business. The focus of the business is on the production of skateboard decks, clothing and accessories. After a short time, Shortys became one of the leading skateboard brands. Towards the end of the 90s, the label also became popular and increasingly successful in Germany. Nevertheless, the brand remained in the background in terms of publicity for a long time. Nevertheless, the Californian producer has long since achieved cult status in the skater scene. Exceptional riders like Chad Muska, Peter Smolik and Toan Nguyen ensure the positive image of the skateboard team.
